WH40k game against Mark.

This was another game that counted towards his DofE and was quite a battle.

Can't remember who won in this Space Marine v Space Marine but was a good game.

March 2018

 A few games and outings for March.

Wednesday 7th March
First
game of Osprey Rules Chosen Men.
We played a Peninsular game in 28mm and on the back of this, this was decided for the Phalanx Wargame show Demo.
Although advertised as a skirmish game, i can't help but feel like its a large scale game with 10 and 20 figures a unit.
It can be very bloody game especially for the units that fire first, good game to play even so.

My 50th was looming!!! So as a treat we all went to Warhammer World as always wanted a trip there.
Excellent place and fantastically painted models,

The large diorama was great and there is a hidden Assassin, which if you find him then you get a model of the Assassin, we didn't find it, this time. Pics not great here as lights kept changing colours.

Its been too long since my last post, time to try and get back on track.

January 2018

My first taste of Iron Cross
A Desert war game put on at the club (Manchester area Wargames)

I took the British and Bob the German. Really enjoyed my first game and have since bought the rules and a couple of my own armies, but more another day.

All figures are 1/72 (20mm) of various makes.

British won the day by seizing the most buildings.

On the same night my son Mark started his DofE Silver Skills by playing/painting 40k

And finally for January we played a game of Check Your 6, this was another one of sets of rules and figures purchased a while ago. Played a participation game at Triples 2011, the game was Vietnam war and you got a model of what you shot down. I downed a B-52 but that was a big too big to give away. I got the rules and some planes from same show. 7 years later we had a game.
